Mariana Duarte is a Senior Associate since 2020 and has been at Abreu Advogados since 2013, she works primarily in the areas of dispute resolution and arbitration.
She focuses particularly on litigation matters, including corporate, contract, divorce and parental responsibility, inheritance and labour. She is involved in a number of arbitrations, judicial, injunction and breach of contract proceedings before Portuguese courts and international commerce chambers (ICC).
Her experience includes assisting clients in matters related to telecommunications contracts, construction works, investment funds, estate, administrative offenses and penal procedures, recognition and enforcement of foreign judgements as well as providing support in Portugal for proceedings underway in foreign jurisdictions such as the United Kingdom, Germany and Angola.
