Luís de Andrade Pinhel is Of Counsel and joined Abreu Advogados in 2019.

Previously he was a legal counsel for the Board of Directors of the Extra Judicial Administration of the Ministry of Justice and of the Alternative Dispute Resolution Office of the Ministry of Justice working primarily in the area of alternative dispute resolutions, specifically on the creation of Arbitration Centres, Mediation Centres and Small Claims Courts.

Throughout his career he has provided legal advice in all matters related with real estate construction, development, funding and investment, in business parks, logistics aisles, residential buildings, hotels, offices, tourism developments, shopping centres and social centres.

He also advises on the urban development of some projects on developable grounds, as well as on the implantation of tourism, residential, commercial and office building developments.

His professional experience also encompasses the provision of legal services, on an ongoing basis, to national and international companies on corporate governance matters.


Advising several companies on corporate restructuring, statutory reforms, providing assistance to the administrations, general assemblies, duties and liabilities of directors, drafting buy-laws, as well as capital increases and reductions;

Advising the governing bodies of several companies, drafting regulations for the General Assembly and board meeting and assisting the boards of several companies;

Advising a relevant Spanish real estate developer on the development, construction, preparation and negotiation of sales and acquisitions and leasing agreements, as well as on the construction of legal structures for the acquisition, sale, investment and management of real estate projects;

Advising a relevant real estate developer on matters related to financing contracts for the development and acquisition and sale of real estate projects;

Advising a large French corporation on a real estate Due Diligence related to the acquisition of a number of real estate units where long term care services are provided to the elderly;

Advising a large Spanish corporation on the drafting, negotiation and execution of works contracts;

Urban Development Due Diligence, analysing development soil, checking permits and licenses, assessment and compliance of applicable sector legislation.
