Associate Lawyer|Lisbon

António Souto Moura is an Associate Lawyer and has been at Abreu Advogados since 2016, working mainly in the European Union Competition Law and Regulations, Intellectual Property and Information Technology and Commercial Law practice areas.

He has taken part in notices to the Portuguese Competition as well as legal Due Diligence in the area of concentration of companies.

He also participates in the implementation of compliance systems related to Data Protection and confidential data, as well as competition issues in connection with competition restrictive practices.

He drafts commercial agreements and industrial property and copyright agreements.

He also participates in judicial proceedings related to Brands, Competition Law breaches and unfair Competition.


Advising a multinational company in the energy sector on the drafting of a complaint against practices which restrict competition (before the Authority on Competition), and violation of regulatory standards in the Sector (before ERSE – Energy Services Regulating Authority)

Advice related to notifications on concentration operations of national and multinational companies in the energy, healthcare, financial, insurance, consumer goods and real estate sectors.

Providing assistance and auditing competition problems to a multinational company in the retail sector regarding issues of practices which restrict completion and on searches.

Participating in judicial proceedings related to counterfeiting, copying, illegal use of brand and unfair competition involving international retailers.

Implementation of data protection systems and policies in national and multinational companies in wide ranging sectors such as retail and technology.

Drafting commercial contracts for the acquisition of assets in the automobile sector by a multinational company.
