Partners of Abreu Advogados among the 40 best lawyers in the Iberian Peninsula

Zara Jamal and Ana Rita Duarte Campos, partner and professional partner of Abreu Advogados, were awarded tonight in an initiative of the legal information magazine in Portugal, Spain and Latin America, Iberian Lawyer, which every two years selects the forty lawyers with less than forty years that stood out most in the Iberian Peninsula, in its area of ​​expertise.

Ana Rita Duarte Campos, professional partner with Abreu Advogados, has an unrivalled experience in the areas of criminal and compliance, to which she has been dedicated and where she is already widely recognized. In addition to practicing law, she has also active in law associations, especially the Portuguese Bar Association, where she is a member of the General Council.

In the list of finalists for this award, the highlight is the presence of lawyers from Abreu Advogados with Ricardo Henriques, in the IP TMT category, André Pereira da Fonseca, in the Arbitration category, Rodrigo Formigal, in Banking and Finance, Hugo Teixeira, in M&A, Marta Costa, in Tax, and Pedro Barosa, in White Collar Crime. Equally prominent are the areas of practice in Tax, Banking and Finance, Intellectual Property and Information Technology and M&A, which were also included in this final list.

It should be noted that Abreu Advogados was the only Portuguese law firm that included members of its team in the final shortlist: Zara Jamal, in Insurance, Marta Costa, in Tax, and André Pereira da Fonseca, in Arbitration.

In 2019, the 40 under Forty Awards are divided into two categories: individual recognition and team recognition. In the Individual category, the best lawyers under the age of 40 were distinguished in twenty practice areas.

This year’s awards ceremony took place in Madrid, at Espacio Harley, for an audience of some of the best-known guys in the industry.
