New partner Martim Menezes enforces Litigation and Corporate practice areas

The firm’s Litigation and Corporate Law practice areas are ready to set sail and take the lead with new partner and team enforcing two of the firm’s main practice areas

Abreu Advogados announces the enforcement to their litigation and corporate teams, with the integration of partner Martim Menezes and his team, who transited with him from CCA law firm.

Martim has over 25 years of experience having travelled a relevant path as lawyer, particularly as a barrister, assisting in some of the most notorious cases in Portugal and in international transactions, with emphasis on TMT matters.

At Abreu, he will strengthen the firm’s Litigation and Corporate practice areas, two of our most active practice areas which have asserted their place in the national and international legal markets, assisting clients to and from different jurisdictions.

In addition to the integration of the newest Partner the firm also integrated lawyers, Tiago Leote Cravo, Sara Mendonça and Pedro Tavares Pereira.

Tiago Leote Cravo joins Abreu as a Professional Partner, reinforcing the firm’s Litigation and Administrative Law practice, areas in which he has excelled in, is recognised by his peers, particularly in regards public contracts matters. Former attorney at Garrigues, Tiago is experienced in his areas of expertise, during which time we highlight his performance as adjunct to the Secretary of State of Regional Development, during the XX Constitutional Portuguese Government, his work as In-house Counsel at Teixeira Duarte and at the Foreign Affairs Ministry. Tiago has built quite a reputation in the research and academic spheres, having lectured at two universities.

Sara Mendonça joins the firm as an Associate Lawyer. She completed a Forensic Master Degree from the Portuguese Catholic University Faculty of Law and a course on Copyright Law from New York University. From her experience we highlight her work in Portugal in the Litigation & Arbitration areas. Sara was at CCA before joing the firm having also worked at Cowan, Liebowitz & Latman, a well-known IP law firm in New York. She co-authored a paper on “The International Authority for Maritime Funds”, published by Verbo Jurídico.

Also joining the firm is Associate Lawyer Pedro Tavares Pereira. The newest Associate Lawyer of the firm comes from CCA and specialises in Litigation, Corporate and Commercial matters.

With the integration of Martim Menezes, Abreu Advogados has, now, 32 partners and a total of more than 200 lawyers.
