Abreu Advogados was legal adviser to Mercedes-Benz on the entry into the Beato Creative Hub, during the negotiation of the lease and construction contract entered into by the company and Factory Lisbon, for the first digital innovation centre of the German multinational worldwide. Patrícia Viana (Partner), Madalena Caldeira and Renata Silva Alves (Associates) spearheaded the support and legal advice provided on real estate, corporate and commercial law.

The Mercedes-Benz project takes off in 2019 in the new technological incubator in Lisbon, which will function in the former Pasta and Biscuit Factory of the old industrial military complex. It will occupy 2.000m², with at least 125 employees on campus for the technological start-ups of the Factory Lisbon – 12.000m² in total area and with capacity of up to 700 workers.
As part of this campus, Mercedes-Benz is also supported by JLL, which through its Workplace Solutions team assumes the project management and workplace strategy for the new innovation hub of the brand in Lisbon. The real estate company is also responsible for advising on the lease process. "This is a disruptive project where the new space will have to reflect a truly hispster environment, and that is very challenging in terms of team management and technical requirements" says Rita Pinto Ribeiro, manager of JLL Workplace Solutions.
