Abreu Advogados advises AGEAS in the sale of the Rialto building
Abreu Advogados advised AGEAS Group Portugal in the sale of the Rialto building, one of the most emblematic buildings in Porto, situated in the well-known D. João 1st Square, in the centre of the city.
The Abreu Advogados team was led by Patrícia Viana, partner, together with the lawyers Maria Cabral Azevedo, senior associate, Rui Gonçalves, legal executive, and Filipe Pereira Duarte, who at the time of the transaction was an associate of the firm.
This transaction involved due diligence of the asset in real estate, urban planning and contractual questions, with advice given afterwards in the negotiation of the contract of purchase and sale and the closure of the transaction.
This was the first important sale announced by the group that develops its investment strategy in the real estate sector in two segments: office spaces and operational real estate.
The property is a historic building in Porto that has an area of approximately 4,700 m2, being considered by many the first skyscraper of the city.
